As a part of CNCA’s commitment to increasing student achievement, each campus measures student progress three times a year. These are called our quarterly benchmark assessments; they consist of exams on critical subjects such as English Language Arts (ELA) and Math.
Quarterly Benchmark Assessment Cycle:

Benchmark assessments measure whether students are performing at advanced, proficient, or not yet proficient levels. Each campus sets specific goals for the percentage of students to test at advanced or proficient. Those goals are targets for the entire academic year; by testing quarterly, we are able to ascertain progress towards meeting those goals.
The chart below shows the progress our students made from Quarter 1 though Quarter 3 of the 2008-2009 academic year by highlighting the percentage of students that scored advanced or proficient for each quarter. We are particularly proud of the achievements in mathematics.
