Director of Whole Child

As the Director of Whole Child, Zulma is responsible for supporting the implementation of Parents as Partners and Integrated Support Services at our campuses. She coaches 7 parent coordinators and oversees the Experiential Learning Program. Zulma has been working at CNCA since 2001. Originally hired as a Health Manager, Zulma managed the partnership to establish a school based community clinic at Burlington Campus. As this project progressed, she had the opportunity to meet and establish strong relationships with the parent community which led her to develop not only a robust parent engagement program but also a learning community of parent leaders.

Prior to joining CNCA, she worked at a community clinic in Highland Park where she was responsible for community outreach, health-related activities and special events. Originally from Puerto Rico, Zulma moved to Los Angeles in the nineties, where she worked as a Program Specialist for the American Red Cross, LA Chapter for 8 years coordinating community health fairs for children and adults.
