Welcome to the Dalzell Lance Campus
Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year! I hope you had a restful and rejuvenating break! As your Principal, I am excited to welcome you back to another exciting school year. Our walkways have been quiet without the boundless laughter and energy of our students, and it's wonderful to see our school come alive again!
As you may recall, Camino Nuevo High School #2 was honored as a 2024 California Distinguished School last year, a testament to the exceptional efforts of our dedicated teachers, staff, students, and families. This year, we seek to build on that success by prioritizing initiatives to ensure that every student reads at grade level, excels in mathematics, and not only feels a sense of belonging on campus but also experiences an unparalleled level of support. We believe that through fostering meaningful connections among students, teachers, staff, and the entire school community we can accomplish these goals and anything else we set our minds to as a team. This year is set to offer abundant opportunities for learning, growth, and achievement. We are ready! Our committed teachers and staff have spent the summer diligently preparing engaging lessons and establishing a safe, inclusive environment for everyone.
A friendly reminder: Families are always welcome at Dalzell Lance High School. If your child suggests not coming to school, I encourage you to do just the opposite. We invite you to engage with our school through opportunities such as our annual Back to School Nights, Site-Based Council, English Language Advisory Committee, Parent Book Club, weekly workshops, or Coffees with the Leadership Team. Please be sure to sign up for ParentSquare to receive important school updates and to communicate with your child’s teachers. If you need assistance with this, feel free to contact Citlali Castillo, Student and Family Services Coordinator at [email protected].
If you have any questions, suggestions, ideas or just would like to say hello, please do not hesitate to reach out. My door is always open, and I welcome your input on ways we can continue to improve our school community. I can be reached at [email protected] or on ParentSqaure.
Once again, welcome back! I look forward to a productive and successful school year.
Thanks,
Larry Boone
